We are very excited to announce the latest steps we are taking in easing Covid-19 restrictions. All of the upcoming changes were planned in conjunction with the city’s Emergency Management Department and the Mayor’s office, so you can feel assured that safety still always comes first. The biggest change is that we are bringing back our furniture! So we’ll have comfy chairs, furniture with plug-ins for your devices, and a great place for a snack in our lobby. We’re bringing our vending machines back too, so we can be your one-stop snack spot! But that’s not all! Our newspapers and magazines are back on the shelves so you will have something to read in your cozy chair. We ended the one-hour rule for library use, so don’t feel rushed! Another exciting change is that we are reopening our private and group study rooms, so you can have a private place to study, participate in video chat, work with groups and more.
Early last month, we added back Saturday and evening hours. Our new permanent hours are Mon–Wed: 9AM-8PM, Thu-Fri: 9AM-6PM, and Sat: 10AM-4PM. This gives everyone a chance to use their library, regardless of their schedule. The library will continue to enforce social distancing in the building. This will affect the number of computers and seating areas we make available, program attendance, and group study room use. As with our previous restrictions, we will continue to work with the city and make changes as safety permits. More than anything we want to thank our wonderful patrons for their support and patience during this long and trying time. We hope to see this slow and steady return to ‘normal’ continue.
We truly couldn’t have done this without your support.
