The Moore Memorial Public Library is proud to announce that as of October 1st, we are no longer charging Overdue Fines!
Thanks to our Library Board, City commission, and Mayor Dedrick Johnson, say "bye bye" to late fees! Starting October 1st, when an item or items are overdue, we'll let the patron know they have 10 days to return the overdue items. After that we charge the patron for the replacement cost and a $5.00 processing fee.
DON'T WORRY! If the patron brings the items back within 30 days of that notice, all is forgiven! No fees, fines, dirty looks, nothing!
The only exceptions are: lost and/or damaged materials and Interlibrary Loan materials. So if you lose or damage a book, we still need to recover the cost for replacement. An Interlibrary Loan book is some other library's property, so we still need to charge fees for those items.
