Virtual Pre-Development Meeting - every Tuesday at 3:00 PM

Pre-Development submittals must be received and acknowledged before noon on Tuesday to be considered at the 3:00 PM meeting.

Pre-Development Meetings are held every Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams. 

The purpose of the Pre-Development meeting is to introduce the developer to local development and building regulations, and the City officials responsible for all aspects of development in Texas City. The developer is given the opportunity to discuss a project with City Officials and receive input. Staff will answer your questions about the various City Ordinances pertinent to your project, the permitting and development processes, and rules and regulations adopted by the City. These are optional, informal meetings offered to assist you in preparing to make application to the City of Texas City. These meetings are not required. No approval will be given.

The meeting is attended by a representative of the following City departments:

  • City Engineer
  • Building Officials
  • Fire Marshal
  • Public Works
  • Utilities
  • Economic Development
  • Management Services

After receiving your email, the Administrative Assistant will send a calendar invitation with the TEAMS meeting information. Applicants will have 15 minutes to discuss their proposed project and will need to have their camera on to present their project when called upon. Projects will be discussed in the order assigned, unless stated otherwise.
