Reference Desk
The Reference Desk is always staffed with librarians who are available to assist with any of your informational needs. Come here with your questions about technology, information, and to find programs and services. Reference librarians can also offer reading lists and suggestions geared toward your interests.
InterLibrary Loan
Is there a book you need that we do not currently have in our collection? Want more foreign language materials? Come to the Reference Desk and see if it can be borrowed through InterLibrary Loan.
Computer Services
Access the Internet at no charge. Computer programs available include Microsoft Office 2013 Professional (Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel). Wireless is also available. Check out our programming schedule for information about basic computer classes.
Copiers & Printing
Printing capability from all computers and a self-serve copier are available for use. The cost is 10 cents per page for black and white copies and 50 cents per page for color.
Online Databases
Ask a librarian for details on how to access the useful databases from the library or home. Visit the Online Databases page.
Genealogy
Materials are available for researching family history including census microfilm and reference books, with emphasis on the Southeastern states. Past city directories and Texas City High School yearbooks are also available. See the Reference Desk for details.
