Low and moderate income families who are eligible for first-time home buyers assistance can receive up to $7,500 to assist with half of the down payment and eligible closing cost towards the purchase their new home.
Only Texas City residents are eligible for assistance and you must have been a Texas City resident for the past 12 months. Proof of residency is required.
Income Limits & Verification
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) have provided at table that establishes an applicant's eligibility for First Time Home buyer's Assistance. This table is based on maximum gross income and size.

Income will be verified by obtaining a copy of your past two years' W-2 annual wage forms and past two years' income tax returns, social security statements, retirement benefits, and/or any other form of documentation necessary.
Applicant must also be fully approved by a mortgage lender.
