Sea turtles are seen on the Texas City Dike, as well as dolphins and even the occasional manatee!! Do not touch or capture them!! If you see an injured marine mammal or sea turtle, contact our Animal Control Officers immediately. We have the resources for every species in our city!!!

And please, PICK UP YOUR TRASH AND FISHING LINES!!! Animal Control Officers pick up a lot of animals injured due to littering and trash. Respect the environment and it will help protect our native species!!!Green Sea Turtles Photo credit Megan Nagel USFWS
